3Ws - What Went Wrong?

Posted on 9th May 2009.

Read the title? Yup. What went wrong? I keep asking myself what went wrong since yesterday.

What went wrong?

Was it my results? If it was, then I would've never been called to attend the interviews. Esp the PETRONAS interview.

Was it my interview performance? I don't think so. Because to me, I'd given my very best shot in each. Well, less in JPA ;p

Or was it my bad luck? Yea, I guess that must be it.

You guys must have had the idea by now of what I'm babbling here. Just jump straight to the conclusions and you're right. I didn't manage to secure any scholarships. Neither JPA nor PETRONAS. What a bad luck. Needless to say, my heart is mixed with feelings of humiliation, anger, sadness, depression, etc etc.

I hate to say this, but now I've been starting to think that God has somehow been unfair to me. I'm really sorry to think like this. Ya Allah, I seek for your forgiveness.

Okay, after somewhat a few disastrous days for me lately, I'm back to normal. I've calmed down.

Like I said in my previous post, I've done a lot of thinking about my future. About all the events that took place in my life recently. And I just have one thing to say; everything happens for a reason.

I'm so sorry to think that God has been unfair to me. There are people out there who are less fortunate than me and I know I have to be grateful and thankful no matter what for what I have now, for what I've achieved at this stage of life. And I truly am.

Well, I guess I just have to relax and enjoy my life at the moment. 23rd of May will be the day I'll be leaving for UiTM Shah Alam to read Chemical Engineering. Initially, I thought it was kinda okay to get Chem Engin (quite shocked actually because I got B3 in SPM for Chemistry ;p), but then my parents told me that this field doesn't provide a large prospect and there is little demand in the market. I'm thinking of changing to Civil Engineering. It would be better for me.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The one thing I mentioned earlier is about luck. Yes, I am very eager to study overseas. Well, everybody does. But my dreams shattered to pieces when I failed to secure any scholarships. 8th May 2009 was indeed one of the saddest day in my life. The day I was expecting to make me jumped wild turned out to be one of the most devastating days of my life. Now I realise that luck somehow plays an important part in your life. Like Sushmita Sen once quoted, everyone has performed their very best, but we need that luck to win.

I know some of you would be like, "Why are you taking it so seriously? It's not the end of your life."

My answer, "Personal reasons. Only I know." So, shut your mouth because you know nothing about me. No offense anyways ;p

Nevertheless, I've overcome this feeling. From now on, I would think only the good things. I know God has written my life story and has my fate in His hands. I know He will show me the right path to take. He decides my fate and fortune. So, I shall just leave it to Him.

Suddenly, I remember a quote from my heartthrob cum idol cum inspiration, none other than SRK ;p, which I feel suits my situation right now.

The strength lies in sticking to a path you chose to begin with. As the journey progresses, whether that path turns out to be tough or easy, you have to follow it because therein lies your beliefs and principles.

I truly definitely absolutely agree with you, dear.

The King is On His Way!

A great great super great news for me!! King Khan may come to Malaysia this July to watch a Bollywood musical, 'The Merchant of Bollywood'!

The transcript of an article I found.

May 5th, 2009 - 12:08 pm ICT by IANS

Kuala Lumpur, May 5 (IANS) Leading Indian choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant’s semi-autobiographical musical “The Merchants of Bollywood” is set to be staged here in July and she hopes to get superstar Shah Rukh Khan to attend the gala.

“This is not just another project, it is not fictional. This is a part of me, a story that says dreams do come true,” she said at a press conference during the media launch of the musical in KL Tower yesterday.

“I am very excited to see it being staged here in Malaysia. Perhaps I can try pulling Shah Rukh from his busy schedule to come and see the show in Kuala Lumpur,” said Vaibhavi, who is here to promote the musical, The Star newspaper said Tuesday.

Highly popular in Malaysia, Khan was made a Datuk, a traditional Malaysian knighthood, earlier this year.

Vaibhavi is one of the most sought after choreographers in Bollywood, working with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh.

The 90-minute musical will feature 48 songs including smash hits from Bollywood movies. The cast of 53 will go through 1,200 costume changes and wear 2,500 pieces of Indian jewellery.

The musical showcases the artistry of classical Indian dance moves fused with modern dance genres, funk, disco and hip-hop.

Vaibhavi said despite discouragement from her family that wanted her to stay away from dancing and cinema, she was carrying on the legacy of her grandfather, the late Hiralal, a top choreographer of the 1960s.

She said “Merchants of Bollywood” was close to her heart as 95 percent of the storyline reflected her life story.

“This is not just another project, it is not fictional. This is a part of me, a story that says dreams do come true,” she said.

Kuala Lumpur would be the first Asian stop for the musical that has enthralled audiences in Britain, Spain, Italy and Germany in the last five years.

Don't be surprised okay. One of my daily routines is hunting for the latest news on my heartthrob.. ;)

Seriously, I was trembling when I first knew about this news. I'm very very glad Shah Rukh has Malaysians in his heart too. ;) I'm extremely thrilled!

Nevertheless, I don't have any idea of whether he will come or not. Since he will be busy resuming My Name Is Khan shooting this end of May, as soon as IPL ends. But I do hope he can take some time off his busy schedule and come to Malaysia. Besides, he needs a break. A break from his work [he's a workaholic], a break for his hope-to-heal-in-a-speedy-recovery shoulder, a break from all those people who keep bashing and cursing him [no need to explain the reason]. Hopefully, he will bring his family too. ;) Needless to say, Yaseen Khan, his personal bodyguard will be here too since he tails Shah Rukh everywhere he goes. LOL.

To those who know the level of craziness I have in me over the Badshah of Bollywood, convey your good and best wishes to me in meeting him. Okay?? But yes, I admit it is very heartbreaking, disheartening and painful everytime I know that Shah Rukh is just near me, I mean he's in Malaysia, but I couldn't meet him.

Rabiatul Adawiyah

I'm so tired. Just got back from 'kampung'. We had a 'majlis cukur jambul' (don't know what this is in English) of my cousin, 7-months old. Damn tired, yaar.

Last night, there was supposed to be yet another game, the 4th, for KKR against CSK. Unfortunately, it didn't stop raining. Cape Town had been raining for the whole day long. I waited and waited and waited. Perhaps the sun would come out anytime. Praying it would, but it didn't. A guy who chatted with me said that the match had been called off and the players were packing to go back to the hotel. Yea, he was there at Cape Town. Went straight to the Sahara Park Stadium from the office, bringing his laptop, just to watch this match. A couple of times, I saw on the live stream, those workers kept bringing and removing and bringing back the covers.

And this was the second match to be abandoned. Poor Shah Rukh. I couldn't imagine what he must be feeling at the moment. I felt like going to the stadium and hugging him and I wanted to tell him that God had written our fate. So, we could do nothing about it. But each team got 3 points. Yes, I know he's a tough guy and I admire him for that. I've been sending lots and lots of emails and messages to show my support for him and KKR. Well, that's the least that I could do since I'm not able to fly to South Africa. I'll keep praying for Shah Rukh and KKR from afar. May God bless KKR and reward them with victory for their perseverance in facing all obstacles. The next match is tomorrow, against Mumbai Indians (MI).

As usual, I went to bed late last night. Well, about 3 am. I consider that late as I was to go back to 'kampung' this morning at 7 am.

Since AZ put up her niece's picture in her blog, I've decided to put up Rabiatul Adawiyah's here.

Isn't she cute? ;)

Another Pain

This was supposed to be posted on the 23rd April 2009, but I didn't have the guts then till now. I have posted 'Losing Hurts' few days ago. Now, the pain keeps growing. Because in the 3rd match of the IPL 2, my most favourite team, lost. This time to Rajasthan Royals, owned by Shilpa Shetty.

Neither am I heartbroken, nor sad. Well, at least not too much, because KKR played very well that day. But it hurts me when I saw Shah Rukh's face at the last few overs, he was reciting prayers. I could see that he was very worried and tense. Perhaps the lady luck was not on their side, that was why they lost.

Before the match started, they did the toss and KKR won. So, they chose to bat second. RR scored 150 runs and KKR managed to reach that number. Then, they had the 'Super Over'. This time, I guess because of the poor management of not-gonna-mention-his-name, KKR lost by 3 runs. But I must praise them because they finally gained back their spirits and worked together. The unity was there, I could see it.

A few times they showed Shah Rukh and his children, Aryan and Suhana. I really like Suhana. She's so adorable and cute! Jaise iska maa aur baap. Needless to say, Shah Rukh was damn HOT! I just couldn't take my eyes off him! He was, is, and always HOT!

This afternoon, as usual I went to 'My Dil Resides Here'. And I found out Shah Rukh had written his first post in the KKR website! Thrilled, I checked out the website.

Oh God, this man is just so marvellous! He's not only marvellous, but he's beyond that! His writing is just like his acting, so wonderful! He has written it so beautifully I couldn't help it but keep reading his post again and again and again. Yes, I had tears in my eyes. Because he managed to express his feelings very well I feel like he's actually talking to me. That's why he's called KING KHAN. Koi shaq? Nahin. Bilkul nahin. I have no doubt about that.

Man, I respect him even more after reading it. His writing shows his comprehension of the problems in his life, from his prespective. I am deeply touched. I seriously couldn't bear if I am to see his sad face again in the 4th match, which will be held tonight, 10.30 pm against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). I thank Shah Rukh for letting us, his fans share some of his thoughts and burden. As much as he wish to take all the disappointments for every loss they face onto himself, it is as much as I wish to take his onto myself.

Well, I will keep praying to Allah that KKR will win this year's IPL 2 trophy. Yeh hai mera wadaa.
