China - Part 1

Hellooooooooo! I'm back!! :D Wow didn't realise how long I have abandoned my blog. Suddenly one day I remembered that I have a blog and when I checked, the last time I updated it was 2 years ago! :O Not a single post in 2012! Well, most of my friends have quit blogging. But I won't! Just will take hiatus every now and then. Started blogging since 2008 so it's been years already :')

Anyway, I like the new blogspot. :D The change is refreshing, eventhough I know it's been ages haha. So here's a story I have. :D Went for a vacation last week with beloved family and relatives! The trip was so fun and full of memories, be it good or bad. Both my parents had always wanted to go to Beijing, because there's a lot of Chinese Muslims there and so it's easy to find places to eat. That's the most important thing for my parents when it comes to deciding a holiday destination. And of course, Beijing is a very beautiful place. Months earlier I asked my parents why couldn't we go to Korea? They said there aren't many restaurants there which serve halal food.

The post is gonna be quite long I guess. 'Cos I wanna write everything in detail if possible so that I can read it in the future and be reminded of the wonderful moments ;) So feel free to skip any parts :P

So we went there for a week. There's 11 of us in the group, including my aunts, uncles, and a lil cousin. I was really excited at first before leaving, but then the excitement disappeared a little as the departure date got nearer. I knew something bad or something which would dampen my mood would happen. -.- But oh well.. On the day of departure we were supposed to leave at 6 am to catch our flight at 9. But my uncle who was supposed to pick us up was late by an hour and that kinda ruined everyone's mood. -.- But then I didn't want it to get to me. While on the plane I watched Dangerous Ishqq and Hotel Transylvania. :D Also listened to some Hindi songs. Even when I was on other international flights before this I would watch Hindi movies to kill the time :P We're inseparable :P

Let's cut to the chase. Before leaving for China, we checked the weather in Beijing. It'd be somewhere between -10 degree to 8 the max. My dad said it'd be colder than when we went to London once. I couldn't really remember how cold it was so couldn't predict. Arrived at 3.30pm and saw some snow on the ground. We were very excited haha since it was our first time seeing real snow. :P Macam jakun la jugak hahaha. But who cares? ;D And dang it was really cold I tell you :O Our tour guide, Mr. Musa, a Chinese Muslim told us that we missed the snowfall by a day. And it was heavy snow. :( Frustrated, yes. We were then taken to watch the acrobatic show. It was awesome! Them Chinese acrobats are definitely the best! It was already really dark at 7 and we went to have dinner. Man, the food was marvelous! Served some 6-7 dishes. Tummy was definitely happy. :D Then checked in at Zhongdu Taihe hotel.

The next morning woke up at 5.30. Breakfast was great too. I'd say it was a heavy one :P Met the tour guide afterwards and we were told that we would climb the Great Wall today and also ski! Yippeeee! We were so excited especially the young ones! But before that we went to the jade and crystal centers. Man, these Chinese people are feisty. They like to force people into buying their stuff by hook or by crook. Learnt some valuable info about the jades and crystals, of how they're produced into something else. Also learnt that
                           - I was born in the year of sheep :D (they say it's good)
                           - My sister was born in the year of chicken
                           - My 1st bro was born in the year of pig :P
                           - And my youngest bro was born in the year of horse.

 Inside the jade center

If I had that much money would've bought more jade bracelets 'cos they're all so pretty! :D

In front of the jade center

Same thing at the crystal center. In loooooove with their products!

                                                   But it's too pricey -.-

Then had a fab lunch at a fab restaurant! :D Loved the food! There's also a surau in the restaurant itself which makes it easier for Muslims :D And it's very comfortable :)

Dad and my sibs at the Great Wall :)

Excuse my excited face and the red nose :P

Very 'gayat' from up here o.O

It was so darn cold I tell you! It was very cold I now understood how one can die from cold weather :O Only 4 of us managed to climb up to the 1st tower. Me, my father and brothers. Oh and also my uncle and his lil daughter. I was actually surprised when I found out that my youngest bro tagged along 'cos his body system is quite vulnerable. I mean, he usually falls sick easily. My dad counted, from the bottom to the 1st tower, there are 360 steps. :O I was very ecstatic to finally set foot on once one of world's seven wonders! :D The Great Wall of China I used to watch in the Mulan movies as a kid. :') There's also a Chinese saying which goes, "You're not a man until you've walked the Great Wall". I really wanted to go farther but we were on quite a tight schedule. Didn't wanna waste time. So to the next destination, the ski resort! ;D

Good thing we went on a weekday! So there weren't many people at the resort.

Can you believe I actually recorded this video? :D I knew it was dangerous but I just had to! :D The video is quite blurry 'cos I wasn't ready I guess. It was nerve wrecking up there! :P And just a lil something to boast about, out of all those skiing that day, I was the only one who didn't fall at all! Woohoo! ;D

Dinner later that evening! :D So yummehhh!

So the next day we visited the Forbidden City! Dude, it's SO gigantic no wonder it's called a CITY! It's called the Forbidden City 'cos it's forbidden to the ordinary people and no one could enter or leave the palace without the emperor's permission. I don't know how long we walked right from the entrance to the exit. It's just so big and massive! Really amazed! Finally I got to see the place which is similar to those in the ancient Chinese dramas on tv! ;D Even got to see the original bedrooms! Next, we made a pit stop at the Chinese medicine center and enjoyed a free traditional foot massage ;)

To be continued... (Thanks for reading!)

Away

We meet again! :) Hehe I haven't posted anything since the last few days 'cos I was away for vacation. My parents thought that since our flights for umrah are now postponed to January, we should go on a holiday trip somewhere. So yeah, it was a 4-day-3-night trip, beginning early Saturday morning. We went to Terengganu, stayed there for a night, then to Kelantan, another night, and next to Pahang, another night and went back last Tuesday. Man, it was a very tiring and exhausting journey. -.- Felt good to meet my cousin, Piqah, who's studying in Kelantan! Else me and my sister wouldn't get a room to ourselves! 'Cos we managed to force her to sleep at the hotel for the night despite her having class the next day. Hahaha. We stayed at the Renaissance hotel in Kelantan. I like everything about the room. Haha, never stayed at such room before. :P Hmm, if a room of a 5-star hotel in Kelantan looks like this, I wonder how the room of the hotel Shah Rukh stayed at in KL looks like. x) Somehow the thought of it thrills me, that's why I got excited. Haha.

Oh! I've been watching Playful Kiss for the last few days and just finished watching! Done with all the episodes, the special editions, and even Seung Jo's diaries! ;D Looooove the drama!! Despite Seung Jo's late love confession to Ha Ni that boils my blood -.- , everything else is perfect! Seung Jo definitely makes up for it by being discretely romantic to Oh Ha Ni. x)) And dang, he looks so fine and good-looking as always! Haha, yea, I love Kim Hyun Joong. ;D All the hairstyles suit him! :D But what I like the most about the series is that the storyline is like only revolving between the two main characters. And that Ha Ni's mother-in-law likes her from the start and does everything to get Ha Ni and Seung Jo closer to each other. And also, her disguises really tickle me. Hahaha. Poor Eun Jo, forced by his mother to abet with her xD Good thinking, Mr. Director. Have never watched a carefree, lighthearted drama like this before. "Tak menyakitkan hati." Hahaha. But Ha Ni's naivety sometimes angers me. x(

Gosh. It's already Dec 23rd people!! O.O Only 10 effing days left before I start my lessons back!! T.T I don't wanna go back to uni!! BWAAAAHHHHH. This semester break is too short. ='(((

But, I wish you all the best for tomorrow, Muhammad Hazique Ghazali. InsyaAllah 8A's will be yours. :) By tomorrow I mean, this morning. :P

Need To Put On My Superhero Garb And Fly!

Fly to Slumberland! -.- It's currently 5:09 am and am sitting on my bed, feeding my ears to Charice's new song, Note To God. My, she's so good. Love her voice, and the song too. ;D Definitely suits my gloomy mood right now. -.- Oh, am indeed sleepy and my eyes are getting heavier by the second. It's just that I live during the night. Like a vampire. Like Edward. Haha. But my body will never glisten under the sun though. Haha. xP I sleep when it's almost noon. ;P And this will continue till right before I enter degree. Ughhh. Okay, I can already imagine what my life will be starting this July. -.- So there you go, a lil rant about my erratic, inconsistent sleeping behaviour during holidays. A nocturnal in the making! ;P

To add to the little rambles, imma talk about Twitter. My twitter account. Am following 305 persons, got 344 followers, listed in 22 lists, 203 direct messages in my inbox, countless of replies to me, and a total of 9,198 tweets as of now, but you would guess, that most of them were to you-know-who. Miahahaha. And oh, just discovered a Twitter bug just now, a bug which lets you to kinda 'force' another user to follow you, because if you want to send him/her a direct message, you guys need to follow each other. There, am giving you a tip. Lol. And yep, I did think of taking advantage of the situation to get you-know-who to follow me and send him a dm. ;D Thanks a lot to the genius Twitter hacker who did this! xD Twitter is so cool man. ;D Have been using it since last year and am a regular on the site. Oh, you'll probably be reading the same thing on Nik Hannah's blog too, since she too is a Twitterrer. ;P AND, just discovered Daniel Henney on Twitter!! Woohooo!! Have been his fan since i watched this one Korean movie of his, forgot the title. Eheh. Another man that can make me go weak in the knees. xP

I absolutely can't wait for the end of this month!! Because I'll be going for vacation with all my cousins from my mother's side!! To Port Dickson! Well, the happiness, the joy, and the excitement is what matters here regardless of where we go, right?? ;D 3 days, and 2 nights. ;) Oh May 28, come quick! And oh, you-know-who too is bringing his family to Istanbul this mid year for holiday. He usually vacations in London every July. Wonder what changes his mind this year. ;) I wish I can go to Turkey too some day! Heard it's a very nice, beautiful place! :D Okay, better stop my writing now, else you'll get bored. -.- ;P

p/s: Am helping AZ out on choosing the best accommodation for her in UK later. She's going to University of Bath in case you guys didn't know. Congrats to her! ;D Oh, I wanna go to University of Sheffield, the uni where my dad previously studied at. ;) I know I will some day. I have this one last chance if I wanna make it happen. That is right after my first year degree. So, the moral of the day is, stay in contact with the uni staff all the time. :|

new experience

ho ho ho, i'm back! whew! what a long and tiring journey...i departed from jeddah to doha back to malaysia on the 6th of june. and arrived at KLIA the next day at 9.10 am...bangah and pak teh were there to fetch us..a bit sad b'coz indukjut couldn't make it..the reason was because bangah didn't want the space in the car to be crammed up. hah. he drove pak andak's harrier. how lucky he is. now, let's move to the next and more interesting part. well, i arrived at Madinah on the 26th of may (if i'm not mistaken)...the moment i saw Masjid Nabawi, i quickly praised to God for its beauty and glam..(we arrived at around 12 am but it was 5 o'clock in the morning based on malaysia time zone)..plus when i got to visit Makam Rasulullah, tears kept streaming down my cheek for i could feel the sadness that Prophet Muhammad is gone. but i know he answers the greeting of people that come all around the world to his mosque...then, we were brought by our mutawif (tour guide), Ahmad, to visit the historical places in Madinah al-Munawwarah..of course we didn't forget to buy souvenirs for our relatives and friends..(u should see how many boxes and luggage we had to bring home)..hahah..we stayed in Madinah only for a couple of days and went to Makkah al-Mukarramah on the 30th (if i'm not mistaken once again)..as soon as we reached Makkah, we performed umrah instantly. but after the Maghrib and Isyak prayers.the moment i saw Kaabah (Muslims qiblah), ohhhh...i cried for i felt how small i am compared to the Almighty God. at last, i got to face the qiblah for muslims all around the world. i cherished the time being in the holy land of Makkah, seeking for His forgiveness and blessings. how tired i was when performing the umrah (the sa'ie part), because renovations and contructions are done to enlarge the space for sa'ie..i'm not saying that performing umrah was tough and tiring, but it was because of the constructions plus our long journey about 6 hours in the coaster (there were only 11 of us)..when i did umrah for the second time, i felt great. the same went to us in Makkah, we were brought to the historical places there..but the saddest thing was, i fainted on the 2nd of june, right at the top of Jabal Rahmah..yea. because i didn't take my dinner the night before. i didn't feel well, that's why. and the breakfast didn't attract me at all. so, i went to jabal rahmah with nothing in my stomach. but don't worry, i didn't ruin the programmes for the day. it's just that i couldn't get TO RIDE THE CAMEL!! nvm. i recovered fully the next day. when it was time to go back to malaysia, i really felt so sad..even i am still feeling sad right now of leaving Makkah..u don't have any idea how sad it is..waving at the Kaabah. but i pray that one day i'll get another chance to visit the house of Allah. yea. well, there is lot to spill here but i don't have the time. i need to sleep. because tomorrow i'm going back to jb, the one reality in my life that i don't ever wanna face, since there have been many things going on lately. usually, i go back to jb by bus, but this time by flight. because bus tickets are sold out. hmmm, i've been yearning for all this while to get the chance onboard alone. finally. but, i'm sure, 100 %, completely, definitely, sure, i will be very tired tomorrow. oooooooooooooooo...please God, give me the strength to survive and sustain my life. hah. alright, tata for now.
