Miles To Go, Promises To Keep

Hi all! Wow. Never thought I would be blogging again. Hahaha. Yep. I know some of you miss my posts. xD How's everyone? I'd actually rather use Twitter than blog now I don't have the time to post anything. Urrgghhh. But yep, missing blogging. ;) Will change the layout in few days I think. Yea! Will renew my blog! Muahahaha. Just like you-know-who renews every aspect that involves KKR!! From jersey to spirituality! xD

Still remember KKR?? Kolkata Knight Riders? I used to post about it last year. First of all, Kolkata is a name of a city in India, can't remember in which state. ;P And it's a CRICKET team, co-owned by you-know-who. When I'm talking about KKR, that means IPL (Indian Premier League) season 3 has started!! And it just kicked off last night!! KKR versus DC (Deccan Chargers)!! Oh, cricket has been one of my favourite sports apart from badminton since last two years. ;P And yep, looking at my mood today, your right! KKR won last night by 11 runs!!! Defeating the defending champion DC!!! Yayyy!!! Finally!! A GREAT NEWS to my ears!! Hail Angelo Matthews and Owais Shah!! Excited to see Chris Gayle playing though. :D Oh, and am definitely looking forward to this Sunday's match, playing against Royal Challengers Bangalore. 'Cause what? 'Cause you-know-who is gonna be there and the whole film fraternity too to support, cheer, sing, dance for his team, OUR team!! xD

Oooohhh, enough of that already. ;P Just wanna let you guys know I'm sitting for my final exams this week. 3 papers left out of 4. Malaysian Politics, Chemistry and Physics. Oh, will definitely miss all my crazy, demented friends in uni especially my classmates once the semester is over. Haha. Oh yea, exams are over on the 19th. So, may the force be with me! ;D Your silent wishes and prayers mean a lot!

Till later!

p/s: Miles to go, promises to keep. We all have a common goal. :) Bring forward a drastic change and a spectacular performance KKR!! And oh! Went ice skating, bowling, and watched Alice In Wonderland last Thursday with Bella, Rose, Ala, Jana, Ruby, Su, Luq, Bel, Apek, Hairi, and Ijat. Thanks for the graciousness peeps! ;D Had a great time!

News To Add To The Collection

Wow! Today I have a good news, and a bad one. For me XD.

Let me tell you the bad one first.

*********************************************************************************

What a day to start with. Only just now, at around 4.30 am, I discovered something about my friend. Oh my God, this is serious. Scary, freaky, whatever you want to call it.

One of my dearest friends named Sana, aged 18, was found to suffer from cancer. She told me she has had this ailment since she was a kid, and that she had been sick from time to time. But yet to recover. After years of suffering, finally the cancer has gone to its final stage. The disease has become worse and now she's in the hospital. Sitting on bed, conversing with me through what is called the notebook, a result of the ongoing advances in technology.

Frankly speaking, it brought tears to my eyes when I first knew of this news. Because she has been one of my most endearing friends, being a bubbly and exuberant girl. I somehow couldn't absorb the devastating news because she's just of my age. She still has a long journey to go, a new, long journey to embark on. She has yet a lot to discover in life.

Oh yes, this girl is just the same as me. She is also an ardent fan of you-know-who like me ;P Yup, we get along very very well. LOL. Her wishes before she dies, are to be able to perform hajj, and to meet the king of our hearts, Shah Rukh Khan. I told her, you're not going to die, so stop talking rubbish. She replied, "Doctors have predicted that I haven't had much time left."
At that point, my tears fell to the ground.

Initially, she refused to undergo any surgery or operation. Actually, keeping the decision in abeyance. After a tough brainstorming session, and considering all the advices from family members and colleagues, she finally opted for the operation. And now, she told me that the operation is going to be done in Delhi, India next week.

It's kinda weird, because she still has the guts to joke around even with the pain. Yea, she can bear the pain. No big deal, she said. She's actually excited she's going to be operated in Delhi, India because that's the birthplace of you-know-who XD. And she said if the operation succeed, she's going to be reborn there. The hometown of you-know-who. I wish I could be by her side but I couldn't.

Then, I told her, InsyaAllah your surgery will be a success. And surely you will be staying there until you completely heal. Then, the moment you feel your energy is fully back, go and search for you-know-who. Delhi and Mumbai is not that far XD. Oh yea, I asked her to convey my messages for you-know-who too ;P. Never forgo the chance you have in front of you, right?

I just hope she'll be okay and things will turn back to normal. I will pray for you, dear. Always. From afar. I know you're a tough girl. I've given you my advice so I won't post it here.

Some quotes I find suit your condition now, Sana, from our beloved Badshah ;P ~

Walk along with hope in your heart, and you will never walk alone.

Keep faith.

If there is no sadness, then you will never understand the true meaning of happiness.

It's better trying then losing, rather than losing without trying.

KORBO! LORBO! JEETBO! (To do! To fight! To win!) Dear, I hope you'll win this battle against the greatest opponent there is, DEATH. I can feel the first rays of sun beginning to break through. A new day is set to begin. Sana, I know the pain still lingers thick in your mind, but we'll face it head on with a smile and a prayer. (recognise this? ;P)

Okay, time for the good news!

KKR finally won another match!!!!!!! Woohoo! Hooray for KKR!!! I couldn't describe how happy I am right now! How jubilant Shah Rukh is!! How excited KKR fans are!

Yes, KKR! You finally shone! You've finally shown your fangs again! It's time to fight back! You'll show them that KKR will roar even louder for the next season! To redeem ourselves! KKR will win IPL 3!

For those who don't know and haven't been following my blog since the beginning of April, KKR is a cricket team owned by you-know-who and I'm proud to proclaim that cricket is now my newly-found passion!

Too Gorgeous To Handle

My sis has gone to MRSM last Monday. Kinda sad actually. I guess this was how my family members felt when I left this house for STF five years back. LOL. Me and my sister - we usually don't talk much with each other basically because she's an introvert kinda person. So, her absence here doesn't make such a great impact on me. Hehe. It's a good thing right?

Well, wanna share all the wallpapers I made for you-know-who here. ;)

There are not so many of them, just a few, and I know these wallies are not so good an artwork, but I'm satisfied with what I've done. Well, to look at my level of doing this kind of stuff. Heh. Still in the learning process.

My creations (siggies, wallies) since I joined My Dil Resides Here. ;)

Quite simple, but I love it!

If you notice, this is the pic I put up on MySpace ;)

Too Hot To Handle [Drooling over his pics ;p]

A bit messy, I know ;p

Love this one ;)

For KKR in IPL Season 2

Love the Khans! Aryan looks more like Gauri and Suhana looks more like uski papa ;)

My most favourite as of now ;)

Another recent work yesterday, slightly different ;)

There you go ;) They might be simple to you but I put so much love in my work when I did them. Told ya, still learning ;D Got distracted by Shah Rukh, of course ;p

Oh yea, my friend did this for me ;) Love it!! From RNBDJ!!

Thanks Pawan!
I tell ya Shah Rukh, can't wait for this July, can't wait for you to start shooting for 'Happy New Year', because I want to see you live! I absolutely can't stand it anymore. This wild eagerness to meet you in person is driving me nuts and definitely is killing me!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Get what I mean?

I'm thinking of posting every piece of my artwork here. What do ya think?

Rabiatul Adawiyah

I'm so tired. Just got back from 'kampung'. We had a 'majlis cukur jambul' (don't know what this is in English) of my cousin, 7-months old. Damn tired, yaar.

Last night, there was supposed to be yet another game, the 4th, for KKR against CSK. Unfortunately, it didn't stop raining. Cape Town had been raining for the whole day long. I waited and waited and waited. Perhaps the sun would come out anytime. Praying it would, but it didn't. A guy who chatted with me said that the match had been called off and the players were packing to go back to the hotel. Yea, he was there at Cape Town. Went straight to the Sahara Park Stadium from the office, bringing his laptop, just to watch this match. A couple of times, I saw on the live stream, those workers kept bringing and removing and bringing back the covers.

And this was the second match to be abandoned. Poor Shah Rukh. I couldn't imagine what he must be feeling at the moment. I felt like going to the stadium and hugging him and I wanted to tell him that God had written our fate. So, we could do nothing about it. But each team got 3 points. Yes, I know he's a tough guy and I admire him for that. I've been sending lots and lots of emails and messages to show my support for him and KKR. Well, that's the least that I could do since I'm not able to fly to South Africa. I'll keep praying for Shah Rukh and KKR from afar. May God bless KKR and reward them with victory for their perseverance in facing all obstacles. The next match is tomorrow, against Mumbai Indians (MI).

As usual, I went to bed late last night. Well, about 3 am. I consider that late as I was to go back to 'kampung' this morning at 7 am.

Since AZ put up her niece's picture in her blog, I've decided to put up Rabiatul Adawiyah's here.

Isn't she cute? ;)

Another Pain

This was supposed to be posted on the 23rd April 2009, but I didn't have the guts then till now. I have posted 'Losing Hurts' few days ago. Now, the pain keeps growing. Because in the 3rd match of the IPL 2, my most favourite team, lost. This time to Rajasthan Royals, owned by Shilpa Shetty.

Neither am I heartbroken, nor sad. Well, at least not too much, because KKR played very well that day. But it hurts me when I saw Shah Rukh's face at the last few overs, he was reciting prayers. I could see that he was very worried and tense. Perhaps the lady luck was not on their side, that was why they lost.

Before the match started, they did the toss and KKR won. So, they chose to bat second. RR scored 150 runs and KKR managed to reach that number. Then, they had the 'Super Over'. This time, I guess because of the poor management of not-gonna-mention-his-name, KKR lost by 3 runs. But I must praise them because they finally gained back their spirits and worked together. The unity was there, I could see it.

A few times they showed Shah Rukh and his children, Aryan and Suhana. I really like Suhana. She's so adorable and cute! Jaise iska maa aur baap. Needless to say, Shah Rukh was damn HOT! I just couldn't take my eyes off him! He was, is, and always HOT!

This afternoon, as usual I went to 'My Dil Resides Here'. And I found out Shah Rukh had written his first post in the KKR website! Thrilled, I checked out the website.

Oh God, this man is just so marvellous! He's not only marvellous, but he's beyond that! His writing is just like his acting, so wonderful! He has written it so beautifully I couldn't help it but keep reading his post again and again and again. Yes, I had tears in my eyes. Because he managed to express his feelings very well I feel like he's actually talking to me. That's why he's called KING KHAN. Koi shaq? Nahin. Bilkul nahin. I have no doubt about that.

Man, I respect him even more after reading it. His writing shows his comprehension of the problems in his life, from his prespective. I am deeply touched. I seriously couldn't bear if I am to see his sad face again in the 4th match, which will be held tonight, 10.30 pm against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). I thank Shah Rukh for letting us, his fans share some of his thoughts and burden. As much as he wish to take all the disappointments for every loss they face onto himself, it is as much as I wish to take his onto myself.

Well, I will keep praying to Allah that KKR will win this year's IPL 2 trophy. Yeh hai mera wadaa.

Victory Finally!

21 April 09

KKR won! They played against Kings XI Punjab, a team owned by Preity Zinta at 4.30 pm (IST). That meant 7 pm here in Malaysia. Yay to Shah Rukh!! But somehow I pity Preity, she looked sad because it was the second defeat for them. Nevertheless, I am really really happy finally I found a smile on Shah Rukh's cute face. ;) Oh yeah, KXI got the toss and they asked to bat first, which meant KKR did the batting after them.

And half-way through the game , the weather changed. It started raining. Oh man! But still, if it didn't rain, KKR would still have stood a chance to win. But because of the delay, they (the IPL management people) decided to apply the Duckworth-Lewis method. To know more about this method, click here.

You can tell that Shah Rukh was very very happy his team won, even his son Aryan was there, and cute lil' Suhana. But I didn't see Gauri elsewhere. Shah Rukh throwed a party post match. Many people asked, "Why did you throw a party when you'd win just one game?" Shah Rukh promptly replied, "We're celebrating the goodness, the unity that we have finally gained back. After all the problems aroused because of the multiple-captain theory." Bla bla bla. I couldn't recall what else he said.

The next match is today, 8 pm (IST), which means 10.30 pm Malaysian time. Can't wait!! I hope the KKR boys will give their utmost to win this match and the next and the next and the next and finally the trophy of IPL 2 will be OURS!!

Losing Hurts

I am supposed to be in grief. But after being deeply depressed for a whole day, I managed to cheer myself up. The reason for my grief is because KKR lost last night in the match against DC. And Dada, the man everybody was hoping for to bring victory for KKR, had let his fans down. For those who don't know, KKR is Kolkata Knight Riders and DC is Deccan Chargers. What I've been talking is about cricket sport, and the cricket league which is the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the second season has only started last Saturday.

Now, KKR is a cricket team owned by my heartthrob, Shah Rukh Khan. Yesterday was supposed to be a big start for KKR as it was their first match, but everything seemed to go wrong. Because of the whole captaincy issue the media has been madly reporting, I guess that is one of the causes everybody in the team performed poorly (except for certain).

Just imagine, KKR, a team which every fan expect them to get 100 runs in 12 overs, got the final 101 runs in 19.4 overs and DC got 104 runs in just 12.4 overs! And DC beat KKR by 8 wickets! I know KKR can do better than this. Sometimes I feel like they are distracted by the multi-captain theory. Well...

Perhaps it's true.

Perhaps it was just, like a gimmick, so that other teams are at their most comfy notch. And KKR will get them back, and win IPL 2. Hopefully.

But truthfully, I felt so sad when they showed Shah Rukh. I could tell from his face that he was really sad and worried throughout the whole match. Plus, he wasn't there during the presentation like last year. Last year, eventhough they lost, he still showed up but not this year. This really showed he's truly heartbroken. When he gave an interview post the match, I could see that he tried to put up a brave face. Thank God, he brought his family too with him to Cape Town so I'm not too worried for him because Gauri is there to comfort him. ;)

KKR was ranked at the 6th position out of 8 teams after the first game. Sad to say this, but frankly speaking, they should be at the last place if accordance to their performance yesterday. But they got the 6th. So, that must mean something. That means, God wants to give them a chance to amend their mistakes and improve. I hope, with this quite-good-news, they will gain back their confidence and focus on the next matches.

Yes, losing does hurt. A lot. I'm just hoping and I pray to God that KKR will do better for the next matches. They better do. They must! Because I don't think I have the guts to look at Shah Rukh's sad face anymore.

Go KKR! Win IPL 2!

p/s: Apart from badminton, yes, cricket is now my new passion. Cricket is probably one
of the most difficult games to understand. But once you understand it, you'll get addicted
to it. Just like me!
