Charice

Aaahhh, okay. So I just changed my URL yesterday and posted the new one in my previous post. ;P Oh, saw the Oprah Moments (or something like that) on the TV yesterday and was mesmerised just like the first time when I saw Celine Dion singing duet with Charice Pempengco on Because You Loved Me. I remember watching the video on YT few months back and was stunned by the super powerful voice Charice has. Then, out of boredom, I explored the entire YT, well, mostly, the whole night for her singing videos. And my, this girl just wow-ed everyone. She really brought down the house. It's so lovely to see how Oprah fulfilled her dreams to meet and sing with Celine, her ultimate idol. And I did cry for her mind-blowing performance. She sang with so much passion and with her whole heart and soul for her mother, no wonder she received a standing ovation from the crowd. :)

Oh, then I watched some of her interviews and was shocked to know how miserable her life was, I mean, before becoming famous through YT. Her dad went back home one day drunk (I think, can't remember ;P) and was wild and aggressive, almost shot her mom in the head. Thank God, He saved both mom and daughter and Charice's brother, Carl from the father and they had to go through a tough life for the next few years just to survive. Plus, having to turn a deaf ear against all the negative comments thrown at her would be so hurtful for Charice and her mother, her mentor especially at a relatively young age. Thank God, she now stays in LA more often than in her home country. The people around the world appreciate her talent better than that of her own country. Oh, what am I talking about? Perhaps y'all have known this long time back. ;P And I was the one missing out on a great great stuff, the next big thing in the world. Lol. But better late than never. Charice has now got herself a new fan! A new Chaster! Yep. Though she's just a year younger than me. Hehe. And oh, her first international album is releasing this May 11, just heard three songs from the album, 'Pyramid', 'Note to God', and 'In This Song'. David Foster did a great job. Love em all. :D

But I admire her though. ;P She has appeared on so many international TV shows such as the Ellen Degeneres show, the Oprah Winfrey show for 4-5 times, Good Morning America, and lots more and has even performed/met with so many big stars including Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Deborah, Andrea Bocelli, Iyaz, Super Junior, SNSD, Paris Hilton, David Archuleta, oh David Foster, Josh Groban and lots more I can't really recall the names. xP Just a long list to show you how far she has gotten since she was discovered on YT at the age of 13. Hmm. The most sincere singer I think there ever is. True what David Foster said, one's painful experience breeds the star quality in one's self.

p/s: Am worried for my mom's health. She inherits blood pressure from my grandma and just now she looked feeble coz the BP rised and now my dad has taken her to the clinic for a check-up. Who knows if one of us, me or my sister, inherit the disease too, that can cause death? -.-"
