4.0 Is My Next Goal!

Wee! Just checked my results for the first semester. Alhamdulillah...I pass. I was SO shocked to see my pointers. =O I thought there was something wrong with my eyes till I checked and double-checked and triple-checked to make sure my laptop's working fine. Okay, so the results is good. I'm very relieved 'cause I was actually expecting much lower pointers. Now, I think this is a good start in my way to achieve my dream to study in the UK next year. :) I don't know. But now I definitely am more study-spirited for my next semester. :) With the help from Allah and my hard work, 4.0 will soon be mine!! :D Bear in mind that a full transformation will take place in me!! (Except in some areas :P)

Hmm, thought I would share my happiness with you guys. :) Don't forget me in your prayers. :)

InsyaAllah, I'll Get To Meet Him!!!

Hi people! Back to blogging. :) Actually, I've been meaning to post this 2 days ago as soon as the news was out but then I was too excited my fingers were trembling everytime I touched the keyboard. Then, I thought to post it the next day but then I was struck by grief and sorrow I didn't have the mood to post anything. Now my mood is better and I'll post the news.

SHAH RUKH KHAN IS COMING TO MALACCA ON DEC. 11 TO PERFORM IN HIS OWN CONCERT!!!!

Woohoo!!!!! I'm SO SO SO SO SO SO SO happy and excited!!!!! XD Finally, his concert!!!!!! In which I might be able to meet him in person!!!!! This was exactly my reaction when I first heard the news. I was jumping, singing, grinning, it took me more than an hour to sleep thinking about the concert. Geez...you must think that I'm REALLY crazy huh? Hahaha. We Shah's fans are like this. :DDD The concert will be held at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Kerubong, Malacca. Actually, the matter whether the concert will actually be held depends on the sponsorship. If anyone is willing to sponsor, then the concert will happen and vice versa. But I think it will happen 'cause who wouldn't want to sponsor SHAH RUKH KHAN concert?? There comes the logic.

The concert planned for December 11 will be held in conjunction with the UN World Assembly of Youths 60th Anniversary celebrations to be held in Malaysia (specifically in Malacca I guess) next month. So, I've told my friends from Singapore about this and they will InsyaAllah come!!! Woohoo!!! So, that means I will be going with them!! XD Well, I don't want to put my hopes too high though. But if this really happens, this will be the first time ever I meet Shah and the first time I go to a concert (excluding concerts I went when I was a kid :P)!!!!! I don't want to think about it much, seriously, until it's 2 weeks or one week away til the concert but what can I do? I get enticed whenever news about the concert comes out almost everyday. ;DDD And this is the latest I received this morning.

From the Orkut community & now it seems very reliable:
MNIK promotion starts on the 1st week of December
Confirmed news. The promotion kicks off with a music+promo launch event. It will be telecasted live by all news channels.

Final date is still not decided, but will be in the 1st week of December. SRK is travelling to Malaysia on the weekend 10-11, so the first media event will be in the 1st week of December.

I've always imagined myself catching Shah at the KLIA. ;))) I hope I will and I pray that I can attend the concert with those Singaporeans. :D In the meantime, my friends from Singapore asked me to search for the nearest hotel to the stadium so that we can stay there and I'm also doing a research on which hotel Shah usually stays at when he's in Malacca. Might get to catch him in the hotel too. :)

p/s: Will post about MNIK soon, to promote the movie. :) Dosto, please pray for me that I get to meet one of my greatest role models (you don't know him in person) ever during the concert. And I pray that nothing can stop me to go to the concert THIS TIME. :)

Oh yea, can't wait to meet Mr. Amitabh Bachchan this Monday!!! XD (Haha, Jia selalu panggil dia Amitabh Belacan. :P)

Kill Your Time Here

Wow. It has been a very very VERY long time since I last posted. Hmm, I made it sound like months huh? Haha. Not that long actually. Just a week or so. :P First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Shah Rukh dear. :D His birthday was on the 2nd of November but I was so busy downloading and uploading his videos that day I didn't have the time to wish him here. Me and my fellow friends from around the world have gifted him few presents and he loves them!! Not that everyone cares about it though, except me. :P Okay, so this is my 5th week of holiday and soon enough I will enter my second semester. Do I feel anything? Scared? Excited? Or plain heartless? Nothing. So heartless suits me. And next week is my last week at home. In the meantime, I'm enjoying every portion of minute left so that I won't miss home as bad as when I was in Form 1. Hahaha. No, it will never happen, as I go back home every weekend.

Much has happened lately but the biggest event yet to happen is the YES! XD Hehs, sorry for bringing this up in every post but I promise ya, it will end after the event ends. It's only a week away and I'm getting excited for this! Just yesterday I told my parents that I'm attending the summit on the Nov. 16th & 17th and Alhamdulillah...*nasib baik green light! ;D* So that means I will skip classes for two days and a half. 'Cause I'll be back by Wednesday. Weee~Staying at a hotel. This is gonna be awesome. Plus, I get to meet AMITABH BACHCHAN!! I'll bring back some photos if I get one with him. ;)

So, to kill the time, I'm now writing two stories, basically love stories but to be noted: they're decent love stories. ;) I want to liven up the decent romance in novels where for instance the boy would look at the girl from far and all that. Haha and I like it that my readers are loving both! ;D They're entitled Little Bits of Heaven and Lovestruck.

Looking forward to February 12, 2010! Watch out for My Name Is Khan!! The Power of Three - SRK, Kajol, Karan Johar; will capture the Indian Cinema audience again and it will be the biggest mega blockbuster ever produced!! XD

p/s: 1 - I didn't win the dashing white suit you-know-who wears in his movie Billu. It goes to a girl named Mery who lives in Peru. :( But never fear, Raj is here, I'll win the you-know-who's costume for his upcoming movies!!! ;DDD

2 - I hope my results won't disappoint me. 'Cause I promise myself to work harder and study smarter in the future to achieve my dreams! :) Aminnn....

3 - Oh yea, I've received the top I won from the radio. ;)

:: #2 - Be Proficient In Foreign Languages

Proficient in a foreign language.

A Muslim should not forget to pay attention to foreign languages, because these days, learning a foreign language is one of the most important tasks required of the active Muslim who understands the demands of contemporary Islamic life.

Fifteen centuries ago, the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) encouraged the study of foreign languages so that the Muslims would always be able to communicate with various nations and races, and convey to them the message of truth that Allah The Exalted has entrusted to them to proclaim throughout the world. We see evidence of this in the hadith narrated by Zayd ibn Thaabit (ra), in which he says that the Prophet (SAW) told him; "Oh Zayd, learn the writing of the Jews, for by Allah I do not trust the Jews to write anything down for me." Zayd said; "So I learnt it and it only took me a month to become proficient in it. Then I used to take down whatever letters the Prophet (SAW) wanted to send to them, and I would read for him the letters that they sent him,"

In another report he said, "The Messenger of Allah (SAW) asked me, "Do you know Syriac? I have received a letter in this language." I said, 'No.' He said, 'Then learn it.' So I learnt it.' [Tirmidhi who said it is a hasan saheeh hadith]

Similarly, Ibn az-Zubayr (ra) was proficient in a number of languages, but learning them did not distract him from his religion or preparing for the Hereafter. He had a hundred (male) slaves, each of whom spoke different language, and he used to speak to each slave in his own language. If you were to see this man when he was dealing with worldly affairs, you would think that he was a man who did not give a second's thought to the hereafter, and if you saw him dealing with religious matters, you would think that he was a man who did not give a second's thought to this world. [Al-Haakim and Ibn Na'eem]

Nowadays, more than ever before, the Muslim needs to be proficient in foreign languages so that he may know what is going on around him, both positive and negative, and so that he may understand what has been written about his Ummah (nation) and its heritage in languages other than his own, and thus be able to defend his nation from evil and speak up for its well-being.

Please forward.
May Allah reward us all.

What A Joy!

Okay guys. Today's post is about the Youth Engagement Summit 2009 I told you about. Now now, don't close the window yet. Read till the end of the post. ;) Today is Oct. 29th. So, that means I received the message last 3 days. Yep. I got a message from this one woman, Audra Pakalnyte through FB. And the title of the message was "Message from SEACHANGE team". The title alone excited me a lot!! XD This was what she sent me.

Cool naa? Haha I know. And then, I immediately sent a response email. And rightfully said, within 24 hours, I received an email.

WOOHOO!! I made it!!! It was a hard work to win this I tell ya. I spent hours on
SEACHANGE Facebook page to win this. Well, earlier, there were few contests we had to take part in if we wanted to win this. I guess I won the Garry Kasparov challenge on FB. ;DD Seriously, I can't wait for next month. Finally, I got the free pass to YES 2009 I'd been relentlessly promoting!! XD Check out my name below! (NO. 92)

SEACHANGE is actually a movement for youth in the Southeast Asian region who wants to make changes to the world. SEACHANGE is an ongoing movement connecting Southeast Asian Youths to projects, organizations, businesses, and leaders who can help them with the change they want to see! It's complicated but you have to go check the website yourself. Here's the link. (Again, I'm promoting here. ;P)

http://malaysia.youthsays.com/seachange/go/lSb

The people you see up here are gonna be the speakers in the summit. I don't know how to explain this, but what's for sure, you'll be motivated and inspired by their talks and this is the first step to bring changes whether to your personal life, to the society, or even to the whole world.

The best part is, when you win a trip to YES 2009, your flight, hotel, and summit pass worth USD2,500 will be paid for. And the amount is equivalent to RM 8,500!! =O Can you believe that? But yes that of course includes the flight tickets and all. ;) But just imagine. It's very expensive to get that one pass. But now, everything is paid for you!! Yay!!!

I'll let you in on a secret (which, of course is a secret no more once you know this. haha ;D). My next semester starts on Nov. 15th. And this event will take place on Nov. 16th - Nov. 17th at the PICC. Other participants will arrive on the day I register for my college. I'm not sure if we will start lessons the next day or not. Or another possibility is, another "get-to-know-your-university" activities. Haha. But I'll make sure I'll attend the summit. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!! Oh yea!! Pray for me so that everything will work out as I wish!! Amin.. ;)

Alright, time's up. Now, it's time for some movies. ;DDD

p/s: I'm really hoping for the best for my next semester so that my dreams will come true, my wishes will be granted, and my prayers will be answered. ;) Amin...

A Place Called Here

Okay people. My gum is bleeding. I have no idea why. I hate blood!! Oh yea, one fact about me probably many don't know. I can faint when I see blood. Yep. I remember myself watching a Bollywood movie this one day at the school canteen in 2006. Haha, my habit whenever it turned Saturday. The boy was badly injured on his shin therefore he had to get few stitches. So, there was this one scene where he partook in a running event in his school and when he was about to reach the finishing line, his shin started to bleed again, profusely. Apparently, his stitches got torn. And I began to feel dizzy. My head was spinning. I felt like puking. Then, I called my parents and told them what happened. Instead of given encouragement, I was scolded for watching the scene since I knew I couldn't face blood. Haha. There you go. I almost collapsed. ;P

Today is Oct. 27th. So, it was last week. Hmm. I got MUET last week, on Oct. 20th, exactly a week before. MUET speaking actually. Well, not going to say much because you know how I hate speaking in English, SPONTANEOUSLY, aur woh bhi in public. I don't like given situation and points, and I have to talk about that in 2 minutes. Haha. But I hope I did well. Now, I just have to wait for Nov. 7th to finish the other remaining exams.

And I so want to win the trip to YES 2009!! Hahahaha. ;DD

Open House? 2

Hi guys. Sorry for the late post. Lol. I really want to update my blog right now but currently I'm having headache so I think I can't post tonight. And the current time is 2:08 am, Oct. 21st. Probably because of the fact that I didn't sleep at the normal time normal Malaysians would sleep at. I think it was four nights in a row. Yea, last week. I even didn't get enough sleep the night before my open house was held. Slept at around 4-5 am and woke up at 8:30 am. After I got up at 6:50 am for Subuh prayer, went back to sleep. Haiz.. I can't imagine how red my eyes were that day.

Okay, gotta go now. Refilling my energy fuels and recharging my jism (body)!

Italy’s Church criticises teaching Islam in govt schools

ROME: The head of the Italian Catholic Church in an interview Sunday criticised a government proposal to offer courses on Islam in schools as a way of steering young Muslims away from fundamentalist teachings.

‘The hour of Catholic religion (teaching) is justified by the fact that it forms part of our history and our culture,’ Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco told Corriere della Serra newspaper.

‘Knowledge of Catholic religious facts is indispensable to the understanding of our culture. It does not seem to me that the planned hour of religion (to teach Islam) corresponds to that reasonable and recognised motivation.’ Deputy Economic Development Minister Adolfo Urso has proposed an hour of teaching on Islam in public and private schools as a possible alternative to Catholic courses.

He has said the move would be aimed at keeping young Muslim students away from fundamentalist Islamic schools.

The centre-left opposition has welcomed the proposal, as has the speaker of Italy’s lower house, Gianfranco Fini.

But an anti-immigrant party allied to Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, the Northern League, has called it a ‘provocation.’

Foreigners made up 4.2 per cent of students in Italian schools at the end of 2007, with some 37 per cent of them Muslim, according to figures from the education ministry.— AFP

Where's The Tooth Fairy?

Hi. I've changed my blog title again. Now it's "Betrayal Is Forbidden". Wonder where I got the idea to name my blog by this name? Hehe. I watched the Taiwanese drama I told you about, "Heaven's Wedding Gown/Wedding Gown From Heaven". And Aaron Lu/Lu Zi Hao said these words. Actually, this sentence holds a very true, deep meaning. Betrayal is forbidden in every kind of relationship. Be it husband-wife, boyfriend-girlfriend, between friends or amongst families. So let's make the world a better place to live by not betraying or backstabbing people.

Yesterday I cleaned up my room. It took a whole day to tidy up the WHOLE room. Nevertheless the room is still not as tidy, as neat, as clean, as spotless as I want it to be. Haiz. Need more time I guess. :P Then suddenly I found this old pink shoes box. When I opened it, I saw letters and cards and pictures and my diaries. Geez. Never thought I could have these so many items. So I read them one by one, reminiscing old memories all by myself. Sometimes I laughed, sometimes I cried. But at most times I laughed. :D Looking back at those pictures of the little me, how jovial I was, how foolish I looked, and of course how cute I posed. :P Lol. Many years have passed by and here I am, an 18-year old girl, much much different from then. Very much different. Sometimes I wish I could travel back to the past and live that memories again. :)

Oh yea. Another big physical change people can observe on me. My 'special' tooth. Now. I know people will read this but what do I care? I don't give a damn on what they want to say about me. How ugly I look. Or how I am the factor a picture looks ugly when I smile with my mouth open. Only those who know me and have seen me know what I'm talking about. Well, I cried last night thinking about it. And just now my brother made fun of my tooth when he saw my picture. How sad. Well, the least thing could happen is tears dwelling in my eyes. :) How I really want to look as pretty as everyone else when I smile. Hmm. I don't know when I can have that moment. Well, my parents and I did consult a specialist about 2 years ago. But he said, if I want to undergo a surgery to remove the tooth, I will have to wait until I reach a certain age. This is because if I underwent the surgery, I might get blind. Because the tooth's nerves are connected to the eye's nerves. I don't know how to explain this but you get the idea right? Hmm... but whatever it is, I can now accept the fact and thankful to the Most Almighty Allah. Some people told me that I looked sweet with that tooth. But somehow I cannot deny the fact that I become quite apprehensive thinking of people's impression on me, that perhaps they would laugh at me, and I don't have much confidence in facing people I tell ya.

Okay, enough with the tooth thingy. Wanna do some surveys. :) But before that, let me ask you. Should I go for the surgery? Should I take the risk?
